The main entrance to the building is located at 30 Mickiewicza Avenue. There are stairs at the entrance (7 steps). This entrance is not accessible to wheelchair users.
An alternative entrance for wheelchair users is located at the back of the building on the northern courtyard side, where an elevator provides access. Intercoms are installed at the entrance and exit of the courtyard to contact the porter in case the gate is closed. People with mobility impairments cannot access the porter’s lodge – there is no level access between level -1 and the porter’s lodge (6 steps) and between level 0 and the porter’s lodge (16 steps).
The corridors in the building allow free movement – there are no level differences. Access is limited to the entire basement level and part of the ground floor (north and south wings).
The stairs do not have special facilities for people with disabilities, except for access to rooms no. 380–383, where a lift has been installed.
The building is equipped with 3 passenger elevators:
The elevators are equipped with voice messages and Braille labels.
The building has two toilets adapted for people with disabilities, located on the first and third floors.
The AGH Main Auditorium is equipped with an FM system supporting hearing.
In the internal parking lot, near the entrance (elevator) adapted for people with disabilities, there is a designated parking space for people with disabilities.
Access to the parking lot is from 7 Reymonta Street (Main Gate). Entry is controlled by a barrier with an intercom and a service point. It is possible to apply for a card to open the barrier or request assistance from AGH security staff.
Guide dogs are allowed in AGH buildings.
If you need a sign language interpreter on-site or online, please contact the AGH Accessibility Office. The information point is open from 10:00 to 14:00. The service is free of charge for deaf and hard-of-hearing persons.
